All Hail: Manic Panic Hair Dye

Manic panic Bow down to Manic Panic. In 1977, sisters Tish and Snooky, who were singers in the original Blondie lineup, opened up a punk-style boutique on St. Mark's Place in New York City. The most lasting product to come out of this venture is the still-legendary Manic Panic hair dye, used by icons of wacky style like Cyndi Lauper and Marilyn Manson.

We're happy this punk-age hit is alive and well -- it does not disappoint. You get bright, crazy results with one application of shades like "Electric Lizard" green or "Atomic Turquoise." "Cotton Candy Pink" ($10, pictured) even glows under a black light. The color will fade gradually with each shampoo, but we bet you'll be sad to see it go.

While I'm too shy to use Manic Panic in an everyday way, Halloween is the perfect opportunity to dive into a tub. You can pick it up in person at Urban Outfitters if you're wanting it for this weekend.

PS-You can even get Emily the Strange versions of Manic Panic (we heart Emily!).
